Research Interests: Yunhao Zhang is a Ph.D. student and joined Prof. Qilin Li’s group in August 2024. Supervised by Dr. Li, Yunhao is currently working on the selective recovery of valuable metals (such as Lithium, Cobalt, and Nickel) from water using membrane technologies. He is also interested in integrating carbon utilization and sequestration into these processes to contribute to the goal of Net-Zero carbon emission.
Background: Outside the lab, Yunhao loves exploring different cultures all over the world, including music, cuisines, sports, and fashion. He cooks a lot, visits different restaurants in town every weekend, and attends Houston Rockets games over 10 times per season.
