Research Interests: Dr. Yuxuan Huang is a Rice WaTER Institute Postdoctoral Associate and joins Prof. Qilin Li’s group in August 2024. Prior to coming to Rice, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering at Columbia University, where he worked on separation technologies and ion-exchange membranes (IEMs), particularly interested in the fundamental understanding of IEM transport phenomena. Supervised by Prof. Qilin Li, Prof. Rafael Verduzco, and Prof. Thomas Senftle, Yuxuan’s current research focuses on bipolar membranes to establish a transformative framework conducive to informed and innovative membrane development.
Background: Outside academic work, Yuxuan enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and exploring different museums.
