I am a post-doctoral research associate in Dr. Qilin Li’s lab. I received my Ph.D. from Tsinghua University before joining Dr. Li’s lab in 2017. I am also a member of the NSF funded Nanosystems Engineering Research Center for Nanotechnology-Enabled Water Treatment (NEWT). My passion and my research are in water-related challenges. Currently, I study issues related to water desalination and purification using capacitive deionization (CDI) and membrane distillation (MD) technologies. For CDI, my main focus is on developing selective nanocomposite electrodes for toxic or scale-forming anions. For MD, my work involves the development of novel membrane materials, process, and system scale-up and optimization.
